"The mind of a bigot is like the pupil of the eye. The more light you shine on it, the more it will contract."
- Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr. (1841-1935)

*Haha. How apt it is to describe myself. I think this is a wonderful quote. It is extremely sarcastic, yet I can't help but laugh at its subtlety. Anyway, since I'm at the topic of sarcasm, there are a couple of Aussie terms that demean both genders. Thot it would be fun to share them with you.

Sheila - it's a term used on girls to demean or stereotype them, like a certain "Lulu" in our literature studies during secondary education. Dun use it often tho', as girls should be treated with respect. R-E-S-P-E-C-T. Heh. I'm a lover, not a fighter. Riiiite...

Bogan - if I dun recall wrongly, this is the actual spelling, and is used on guys. Basically, it's a crude term for calling guys as "white thrash". Dun, and I can't stress enough, dun use it freely on others, especially Aussie or Caucasian guys, lest you think your life is meaningless and you are looking for some challenges to spice things up. If so, good luck for your cheap thrill, mate. Heh.

Anyway, I think I will be imparting some knowledge from my field of studies in future posts, which is Psychology, if you din know by now. Hope I dun end up as the bigot. Haha.

"It is in self-limitation that a master first shows himself."
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832)

*I tried editing the JavaScript and HTML for my bLoG. Admittedly, I ain't an IT genius. Somehow, I bumped my way thru' and succeeded in re-formatting the layout of the bLoG. I can honestly say that I feel proud of myself, even tho' this is just a minor event. Haha.

Yet, in a way, this has always been how I've lived my life; thru' trial & error. I've had my share of bleak moments...oh, those moments. Somehow, I've persevered, and garnered the strength and courage to bounce back. It's been a long and winding road, and I will continue to make mistakes in life. At the end of every day, however, I just need to ask myself if I have done my best for that day. If I can honestly say a resounding 'yes', that's good enough for me, no?

"A shady business never sees a sunny life." - William Forbes

*My housemate, Win, requested for this quote to be posted. In his own words, if you want a shade in life, you gotta work hard under the sun ah! Heh, wise words from an IT student who does last minute work...how ironic.

My other housemate, Jasper, is currently playing some John Mayer and Lisa Loeb songs. Think we shall call him John Loeb then. Heh...

As you can see, we are really making full use of our PMS - Papa Mama Scholarship...

"One ought, every day at least, to hear a little song, read a good poem, see a fine picture and, if possible, speak a few reasonable words."
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832)

*This is just a little attempt to post some personal insight into our everyday lives; well, at least my everyday life. As I unabashedly attempt to showcase my dexterity, I have chosen a quote from Mr von Goethe to kickstart my blog. Wouldn't it be nice to have as simple a life as wot he has described?

From this day forth, I shall beset the world with my poppycock! Cheers...
